Posted - Jan 31 2020 : 07:11:03 AM Hi, I recently upgraded Visual Studio from 2015 to 2017 (community). Yet I can't install visual assist extension from archive build. When I run installer, it gives me this error:
Install Error : System.InvalidOperationException: The path '[installdir]\VisualAssist-10.9.2116.0' defined in the manifest.json file is not valid.
Anything I could do ? Thanks |

Posted - Jan 31 2020 : 08:24:03 AM When you first run the installer for VA 2116 it lists "Visual Studio 2017 RC" as a target, which was the Release Candidate version of VS2017, not the final release of VS2017. The first version of VA that supports the final release of VS2017 is VA 2210
