There are definitely issues with the editor and the default dark theme in the dev11 beta. What I have done is create a dark editor theme while in the shell Light Theme, export the settings, switch to the Dark Theme and then import just the Font and Colors from the exported settings. So my dark editor colors are the same in both the shell Light and Dark themes.
