Posted - Aug 30 2011 : 07:01:11 AM Although it claims to install successfully, VA version 1823 does not show up on the menus fo VS2010 professional (this is a clean install on a new hard disk).
Is there a time limit to how long I can use old versions of VA?

Posted - Sep 02 2011 : 1:44:51 PM Kevin, thank you, that was the problem.
I installed the separate .vsix and VA is up and running again!

Posted - Aug 30 2011 : 1:51:10 PM Build 1823 requires a separate .vsix installer for Visual Studio 2010. (The first combined installer for all IDEs was for build 1825.) Please make sure you are running the .vsix installer, located on the history page at http://www.wholetomato.com/support/history.asp . |

Posted - Aug 30 2011 : 12:36:14 PM Can you see if the IDE option:
IDE tools menu -> Options -> Environment -> Extension Manager -> Load per user extensions when running as administrator
is turned on, and if it is turned off please turn it on and restart VS2010. Also can you look at:
IDE tools menu -> Extension Manager... -> Visual Assist X
and make sure that Visual Assist X is enabled. |
