Posted - Nov 24 2011 : 05:40:58 AM WinXP SP3, VC2008, latest VAX. 2 Monitors. Desktop spawn over both as one desktop (means maximizing a window maximizes the window directly over both monitors - maybe NVIDIA specific). VS sized over the whole desktop. NVIDIA Desktop manager on.
Open the snippet editor. Place mouse cursor over any item that has a baloon tooltip. The snippet editor is send back behind VS. Clicking on VS does not bring the snippet editor back to front, only by clicking VS in the windows taskbar brings the editor back so i can continue editing. |

Posted - Dec 08 2011 : 12:57:11 PM Thank you for the update. This is rather odd, but I am glad the problem has now been fixed. Hopefully this problem stays fixed. Please let me know if this, or any other problem comes up again. |

Posted - Dec 08 2011 : 06:45:05 AM Sry, I have a new computer and new Win7. I don't see this problem with Win7, latest nvidia desktop manager and VS2008. I also have enabled the desktop managers mosaic-mode (this was called different in older versions and seems to cause the problem). So for me the problem is solved. |

Posted - Nov 24 2011 : 1:50:43 PM This could be related to the NVIDIA desktop manager, I used to use it years ago, and back then I did see it cause the occasional odd effect.
If you restore VS2008, then manually VS2008 so that it stretches across both monitors, so it is just a tiny bit smaller than maximised across both windows, do you still see this problem? I cannot reproduce this problem here, just manually stretching VS2008 across two monitors, under winXP SP3. |
