A quick and easy way to check if the underlining is coming from VA is to use the menu item:

VAssistX -> Enable/Disable Visual Assist X

and see if the underlining disappears when VA is disabled, and appears when VA is enabled again.

If you are using VS2008 or earlier, then yes, this is a VA parser problem:

case=1867

Thank you for the clear example.

If you are using VS2010 or above, then VA does not underline mistyped symbols in your code, since the IDE does so.
