Posted - Oct 28 2013 : 06:43:34 AM When I type Alt+, and then select some symbol to navigate to, IDE no longer responds to mouse clicks. Menu is not working, text editor is not working etc. Not an issue with VA turned off. |

case=78056 is fixed in build 2007

Posted - Oct 28 2013 : 8:01:08 PM Edit.NavigateTo is mapped to "ctrl+," in the general development scheme. case=78056.
Until fixed, press ctrl+tab twice to get out of that bad state.

Posted - Oct 28 2013 : 1:22:09 PM Apologies for this problem, VA should never lock up the IDE like this.
What does Alt+, do in VS2013 when you press it?
Can you please go into the IDE options dialog -> Environment -> Keyboard, and attempt to map Alt+, to any command. When you do this the "Shortcut currently used by" field will list the command this keyboard shortcut is currently mapped to. What command is active in the text editor?
For me this is mapped to "Edit.DecreaseFilterLevel", and nothing seems to be happening, so I don't know what that command is supposed to do. Certainly I am not seeing any sign of the editor navigating to any symbol. Also there is no problem using the IDE after issuing this command.
If you look at:
IDE Tools menu -> Extensions and Updates...
what extensions are listed on you system? On a full install of VS2013 with VA I have the following extensions listed:
Behaviors SDK (XAML) Microsoft Advertising pubCenter Service for Visual Studio Microsoft Advertising SDK for WIndows 8.1 Microsoft ASP.NET and Web Tools Microsoft Visual Studio ASP.NET MVC 5 Scaffolding NuGet Package Manager for Visual Studio 2013 Visual Assist X Visual F# 3.1 Visual Studio Extensions for Windows LIbrary for JavaScript
I am wondering if there are any differences in your extension list that might be a factor. |
