Let's say I have text like this:
abc
abc
abc
I select the last letter of each line while holding alt and cut them (press control-X).
If then I press control-V in the end of first of line when text will be restored to it's original form. On the other hand if I press control-shift-V (to call VAX paste menu) and press 1 then text structure will become distorted as if they weren't originally selected as a block (by this I mean selection with alt). |

Unfortunately this is a known problem, and I don't currently have an estimate for when this will be fix. For now, if you want to use block mode copy and paste on a regular basis, you can turn Off:
VA Options -> General -> Display paste menu with X items
so that instead of getting the paste menu, when you press Ctrl-Shift-Insert you cycle through the IDE clipboard menu. |
