Hi guys,
VAX 10.8.2043 annoys me with one thing for a quite long time. I don't use VAX default option "Insert () and closing..." and when I write new code blocks in VS 2012, VAX suggests a wrong function (the one which follows). See screenshots.

However, if I insert closing bracket, it'll suggest the correct function:

Thanks,
Petr Kurtin

I know you said you have turned off having closing brackets inserted automatically. Is there a reason for this, or is this just personal preference? I am wondering if getting closing brackets being inserted again automatically is an option, since it looks like it would help.

Would it be possible to get a copy of the code file you are working in, or just a chunk of it, for testing purposes? I can then see if I can reproduce the problem here, and then investigate it. Retyping the code from your screen shots will just take a little while, and half of it will be undefined so asking in case this is possible makes sense. If this is possible please submit the files via the form:

including the thread URL or topic ID so we can match it up.

Thanks feline, your workaround solves the problem, but I really like VAX style of the suggestions (minimalist and usually correct)...

Do you have:

VA Options -> Listboxes -> Get content from default Intellisense

turned On or Off? If this is off turning it on might help. VA is getting confused, due to the mismatching brackets. Adding a closing round bracket on the function call might also help, but since you don't work with insert closing brackets I am not sure how helpful a suggestion that is.
