Hi

I have a love hate relationship with R# . Its the typical can't live with it can't live without it.

I am about to renew my 10th year as a VA user so I am a devout user of this too.

I understand that installing R# deactivates certain menus in VS, and I thought I saw somewhere that in a joint install certain features of VA are disabled.

I tend to run them together as I prefer VA Outline and VA View to their offering but I used their quick fixes extensively.

Is there a list of what in VA is deactivated , if anything.

Obviously I would like to turn stuff back on if I can.

Incidentally they play very well together in my set up

Mike

I am not sure that we do much disabling to avoid conflicts with R#. I know some of our users prefer to disable VA in C#, to use R# in their C# code and VA in their C++ code. One VA feature that does get turned off sometimes is highlight current line, since the newer IDE's offer their own version of this, which you may prefer, and you only want one tool at a time highlighting the current line.

This FAQ entry offers a couple of thoughts on compatibility with R#

I am glad to know that everything is working well for you, it is good to know that things are working as expected and people are happy
