Posted - Feb 17 2015 : 10:38:00 PM I've been using Visual Assist for quite some time now and love how it's able to make my productivity skyrocket in development. However, recently I have come across an issue where my Find References Refactoring does not work. I'll try to run it on a variable to find all references in my projects but the results page/tab doesn't show up. I've tried various things but nothing has availed. Any help or input on this would be great, thanks!

Posted - Feb 18 2015 : 9:40:23 PM That's odd, I don't think I have ever seen that happen before, but as you say, it does sound more like a video driver effect. Since it is all windows we know it is not VA, which is something. One candidate eliminated, but this does mean I am not going to be able to help much. Good luck with this. |

Posted - Feb 18 2015 : 5:42:16 PM Well the thing is I don't have the results page on the third window. My MS VS would be on the second monitor and my results would be on the first monitor. But I think this might be related more to my new graphics driver and video card since every time my monitors turn off after 30 minutes and I come back, all my windows, browsers and programs end up in the third monitor (TV). |

Posted - Feb 18 2015 : 2:13:12 PM It is normal behaviour to remember the position of windows, so they reappear where they were when you closed them, so I am not sure why you would be getting different results in Windows 8.1 vs Windows 7. If you are placing the Find References Results window onto the 3rd monitor, then it is reasonable that it reappears there. |

Posted - Feb 18 2015 : 09:18:31 AM I don't disable it since I actually do use it quite often, just not all the time when I'm behind my desktop. I'm thinking that this might be a Windows 8.1 "feature" seeing as I never had any of this phenomena with Windows 7. |

Posted - Feb 17 2015 : 11:07:30 PM Have you disabled the third monitor in Windows settings? Normally windows that used to be on a now inactive window should be shunted onto one of the active windows. |

Posted - Feb 17 2015 : 10:46:33 PM Please disregard this post... I realized that I'm a bit clueless and forgot that sometimes windows and browsers open up to my TV which acts as a third monitor... |
