 va rename symbol with file failed in vs2022

vs_x64.dll 10.9.2528.0 win64



it complains about the source-control BUT I have turn it off in vs-options; see below.
I wonder IF the arrow-icon means sth that cause it?



(I known may be vs instinct problem as F2 not works too, STILL want to get some hint, thanks in advance.)

Are you able to reproduce this problem, or was it a one off problem?

Were you just trying to rename a symbol inside the file, or rename the file as well? It reads like you were just trying to rename a symbol inside the file.

Was the file marked as modified by VA? So, did VA manage to actually do any renaming inside the file at all? Or was the file not modified by VA.

Did you start the rename operation inside this file, or inside another file?
