Posted - Jan 27 2006 : 03:49:21 AM Hi!
I get the following error when starting VS 2005 now: "The Visual Studio Class Designer Package ({DD1683A7-5A4C-4234-81B3-A4CC91DBEAC9}) did not load because of previous errors. For assistance, contact the package vendor. To attempt to load this package again, type 'devenv /resetskippkgs' at the command prompt."
Also, syntax coloring from VA (1440) has stopped.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Andre |

Posted - Feb 06 2006 : 1:05:25 PM are you disabling loading VA? it makes sense that this would fix the problem, but how do you then get VA to work? can you enable it once the IDE is running?
i have installed VA onto machines with VS2005 quite a few times, and never had a problem.
have you tried the instructions that int2str gives to see if this helps? |

have you had the beta versions of VS2005 on this machine at any time?
That's some find Google'ing skills :D. I finally got my beloved VA-X to work again!
Here's how: 1) Ran ttool (from the link) to fix two found problems in VS 2005 1a) Error message gone, still no color though 2) Re-installed VA-X 2a) Still no color 3) Disabled Enhanced coloring and re-enabled it 3a) COLOR! :D
Thanks for your help and for making such a fine tool!

Only VA-X in that list.

Posted - Jan 31 2006 : 03:45:07 AM I don't have any other package installed (that I am aware of). It started a few weeks back (I really miss my VA-X *sniff*). Thought 1440 would fix it, but it didn't. Reinstalled a few times, but I can't get it to work again.
After re-installing this is what I get on first start:
Thanks for your help!

Posted - Jan 27 2006 : 2:58:10 PM what other plugin's do you have installed? has this just started happening? if so, what if anything might be the trigger?
if there are no other plugin's installed can you try reinstalling VA, telling it to reset the IDE when prompted during the install? |
