Posted - Mar 28 2006 : 4:24:41 PM Ever since I installed build 1444, DevStudio is frequently locked up by VA. It is getting worse if the application is running the debug mode and you want to go back to DevStudio to do searching, setting a breakpoint or even browsering the files! It took minutes to move the cursor...
I've not seen that kind of slowdown in previous builds.
For now, I am uninstalling it...

Posted - Mar 28 2006 : 5:02:33 PM I have Windows XP and DevStudio 7.1. I am very sure the lock is caused by VA. Once I uninstall it, the problem goes away.
I'll try to get some callstack later.

Posted - Mar 28 2006 : 4:29:45 PM Can you get some kind of callstack by attaching a second instance of Visual Studio to the locked up instance?
What OS/IDE are you using?
Do you have any other add-ons installed? If so disable those and see if The IDE still locks up with VAX installed.
Any other information you can provide can be of great help.
