Is it safe to change SciLexer.dll in VA by newest one from scintilla.org?

today:
latest VA uses 1.6.7.2
latest on scite is 1.6.9.0

Feline is correct in that we use scintilla only for editing of autotext. If you really need to do some fancy editing, use a different, standalone editor. Our tpl files are plain text.

it might be, but looking at the history on the http://www.scintilla.org/ page there does not seem to be any benefit. my understanding is that this is only used for the autotext editor, so i don't see what you hope to achieve by doing this.

plus it would make supporting any bug reports a bit more tricky.
