Posted - Jul 05 2006 : 10:12:36 PM Visual assist x can't detect the key I type via usb keyboard. It shows nothing, for example, when I type "FA", it should show "FALSE" to select. But it does display "FALSE" for me to select.
Is the problem related to OS or this software? Any suggestion for me? Thanks. |

OK! I find out what's wrong of the problem. Other application causes a conflict. Thank you all.

This is very odd.
Do other parts of VA X work normally with the USB keyboard, e.g. filtering it the OFIW dialog? SIW dropdown?

Do you have any system utilities related to the keyboard or other add-ins in the IDE that might cause a conflict?

Posted - Jul 05 2006 : 11:46:29 PM The options are the same. It's normal using PS/2 keyboard, and unnormal using usb keyboard. I don't know the problem related software or hardware. Thank you for discussing.

Do any suggestions show up? As I remember the autotext entry for FALSE is F, not FA. Does FALSE show up if you type "F" then hit tab? Do you have autotext enabled in the options?

Posted - Jul 05 2006 : 10:27:38 PM Yes, it's normal when I use PS/2 keyboard. But my PS/2 port is broken, I should use usb keyboard.
I search no other driver for usb keyboard, so I'm so vexed.
Anyway, thanks for your suggestion.

I use a USB keyboard both at the office and at home. I have no problem using VA X. Have you tried using a regular PS/2 keyboard? Try possibly updating your keyboard software.
