Hi
Some of the developers in my group added some 20 KB of data into their default cpp.tpl files. They started suffering from VS 2005 crashes.
Can anybody guess why should this happen?
do you know of tpl size problem ? or problematic characters in tpls?
Any help will be much appreciated
Ariel

We recall speaking to your coworker, Eitan, about this crash. We asked him to remove Babylon\\captlib.dll from the environment to see if it's causing a conflict. We didn't hear a reply other than he didn't think it was related. (Maybe we missed something.)

Can you test without Babylon\\captlib.dll?

The minidump was too small to discern anything useful.

Does the crash occur if you restore the default cpp.tpl file? (Make sure you modify the versions in the Autotext subdirectory, i.e. not the historical ones in the Templates directory.)

You can restart the default from the Latest subdirectory.

Can you send one of the large tpl files to [email protected]?

What build of VA X do you have?

Can you get a call stack of a crash? Use a 2nd instance of the IDE and attach to the first.
