When I'm hovering over a line in the find references window, the surrunding code is correctly shown in a tooltip. If I double-click on the line, the corresponding source code window comes to the front (as expected). However, if I do the double-click a bit more slowly, then the tooltip is still shown, when the source code window is presented. It doesn't disappear unless I move the mouse outside the window.
I'm having the windows in floating mode, VC6, Win XP, no further add-ins.

You guys should include the non-docking mode in your test cases

i get the same thing. for me this only happens once i turn off docking view.

Thank you, support! I just want to add, that the mouse pointer is invisible on the screen shots. It was placed on the first C of CVATestApp()::CVATestApp(), if this might be of interest.
On more thing: As always, I have the output window not only in floating mode, I also disabled the docked view.

i do not have access to that email address, so we will have to wait for support to post the screen shots here. alternatively if you host the screen shot at a free website, i use http://photobucket.com/ for this myself, but there are other alternatives, you can simply link to, or embed the image into this thread yourself. |

Yes, the code window cover most of the find results window. I'll send some screen shots to [email protected]. The screen shots were taken from a newly generated and unmodified MFC dialog-based application.

the tooltip is not disappearing for me even when double clicking quickly. i have my find results window docked to the bottom.
when you talk about the code window coming to the front, does the floating code window normally cover most or all of the find results window? can you easily post a screen shot of your window layout so i know what to try and reproduce? |
