Hello,
When I open a Visual Studio 2005 ASP .NET 2.0 project, the IDE slows down to a halt and I notice VS 2005 saying on the status bar (VAX : Importing System.Data.SqlClient) and it takes a couple of moments to import. Meanwhile, my IDE is extremely sluggish and attempting to enter even a character takes a couple of moments before I see the letter on the screen. I am not sure if this is an issue that occurs when VAX must first import a library but it is unacceptable for VAX to slow VS 2005 down to a halt. Any thoughts?

Regards,

when you say a couple of moments can you put some form of scale on this? are you talking about 1 second, 30 seconds, 10 minutes?

there was a problem with parsing web page projects in VS2005, where it would literally take a couple of minutes before VA applied its enhanced syntax highlighting even on a newly created project, but this was fixed for me in VA 1530 (case 1480 for reference)

does this seem to be a new problem in 1533 for you? or have you been seeing this for a while now?
