 1534: VA Parsing goes berserk

Hello everyone,

I'm using build 1534 with vc 6.0, but when I use network paths in my includes, and VA tries to parse them, it goes berserk. It keeps on parsing the files and the memory usage shoots through the roof rendering vc useless.

Disabling VA from the vc has no effect.

Disabling VA X and still seeing the problem makes us wonder if the problem is with default Intellisense.

Did you disable via our toolbar button (which is a "light" disable not going to stop parsing.) If so, try disabling via Tools|Customize|Add-ins.

Do the parsing messages begin with "VA X"? If not, the messages are from the IDE and you should try deleting the NCB files associated with your projects.

If you still have the problem, and only with VA X enabled, generate a log for us. See the last FAQ at:
