Just updated to VA_X.dll file version 10.3.1534.0 built 2006.09.02.

Some great new features for C++ - brilliant!

When I updated I chose to replace the Autotexts with the latest version. Fine. I know the last version ones are in the 'Saved' subfolder, but how to I easily integrate the autotexts I added to the last version into the new one?

Surely this is something which the VA should do for me anyway? Though clearly it doesn't, so I need to do it manually.

A quick attempt using copy and paste in Textpad caused VS2005 to lock up on the VA contect menu.

Any guidance appreciated!

Pete

you can diff the new autotext file with your current one using a standard text diff program, i tend to use

http://winmerge.sourceforge.net/

which is free.

OP here. No answers yet....

OK, I admit it, I used PSPad to copy and paste a bit more carefully than my first attempt described in my original post, and now it works.

However, it would certainly be nice if updates automatically inherited my AutoTexts! :-))
