In Windows Vista RTM, when I click the menu item "Visual Assist X Options...", no dialog appears - nothing happens.
I am using Visual Studio 2005 Pro SP1 Beta with VAX 1541.
This happens even if I run the devenv.exe in elevated mode.

When I attach the debugger, I see the access violation like below:

ModLoad: 12230000 12547000 c:\\program files\\visual assist x\\VaOpsWin.dll
(c4c.dfc): Access violation - code c0000005 (first chance)
First chance exceptions are reported before any exception handling.
This exception may be expected and handled.

A fix for the problem caused by the missing registry keys will be in the next build of VA.

Well, it substantiates some of my suspicions... thanks.

I just imported the key "Custom Colors" from the other Windows XP,
where the key contains values (Color:0 to 15). Then it works now.
Hope this helps.

It is a fresh installation.
There is no values in the key "Custom Colors". Only the key exists.

Do you have a value named "Color:0" at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Whole Tomato\\Visual Assist X\\VAOpsWin\\Custom Colors ?

If so, what is the value?
