Posted - Feb 15 2007 : 03:35:48 AM Hello, I could not reproduce this problem, but it often occurs in my VC6++ IDE.
When the VAView is visible and I am hovering mouse over the source code, the workspace window goes blank..., ClassView/Resource tabs also disappears and becomes unusable.
I have to restart the IDE to get back the tabs.
My Environment is VA_X.dll file version 10.3.1544.0 built 2007.01.10 MSDev.exe version 6.0.9782.2 (English version) Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2 (Japanese OS)

This does seem to be normal, this is just how VC6 works. |

Posted - Feb 19 2007 : 06:22:11 AM If I disable the VAView, the starting layout is as in the picture:
There are no tabs in the workspace toolwindow.(Is this the normal behaviour?) However, if I load a project, the Classview/FileView etc tabs are shown and they work normally. |

Posted - Feb 16 2007 : 08:38:27 AM What you are seeing on start up seems correct, this is what I am seeing using VC6 and VA 1544 First loading the IDE with no workspace open:
and now with a workspace open:
If you turn off VA view do the other tabs behave normally once you have opened a workspace?
VA Options -> Text Editor -> C/C++ 6.0 -> Enable VA View |

Posted - Feb 16 2007 : 02:50:02 AM When the IDE is started, the workspace tool window is as follows: 1. with VA installed -> only VAView tab is visible (attached picture)
2. without VA -> there are no tabs, the tool window is blank!!
After I load a project -> ClassView/ResourceView/FileView/(VAView) tabs get visible.
Is this the normal behaviour of the IDE? Should all the tabs be loaded when the IDE is started?

Posted - Feb 15 2007 : 09:51:12 AM Can you post a screen shot showing your window layout? Just opening the IDE without opening any workspace should do this very well. I am wondering if VAView is docked with the workspace view, class view, etc. By default it is. |
