Assume I have the following code in C++ (already stripped down):
  int function;
  f(function);
If I now use Extract Method on the second line, I just get:
  MyMethod();
So the parameter is ignored. This only happens if the parameter is called function. If I rename it, it works.

I'm using build 1549 for VC6.0 and VS2005 on Win XP.

I am seeing the same effect here. Thank you for the clear description.

case=5606

It seems part of VA thinks "function" is a keyword, which is why this, and several other problems with it, are happening.
