Posted - Jun 12 2008 : 07:22:48 AM I used to set the color of matching braces to White. In build 1626 it worked okay. In 1640 I select "White" and get somewhat like "LightGray" instead. I use the color close to LightGray as the background color for editor windows in VS2005, so in my case the matching braces just visually disappear! Looks quite comic ... :) Other colors for matching braces are set with no problem, but "White" color selection is processed incorrectly in 1640. It would be nice if you fix it.
The problem first appeared in build 1632.
P.S. Except "White" (FFFFFF, or RGB:255,255,255), the same result comes from colors close to White (I checked 255,254,253 and 254,254,254 custom colors). Also, it seems to me that for a short time the correct White color is actually displayed, but only when I change the color which is correctly displayed (from, Green, for instance) to White. P.P.S. Looks like the problem corresponds (except White) to all custom colors with high brightness: the resulting brightness in build 1640 is always limited by the color of text background.

Posted - Aug 31 2007 : 08:20:04 AM Not that I know of. This is just working for me, using VS2005 and VA 1559.
I have changed the colour to "Lime" and it works quite happily for me.
Are the other aspects of VA's enhanced syntax colouring working correctly? You many need to press:
IDE tools menu -> Options -> Environment -> Fonts and Colors -> Use Defaults
and then re-apply any changes you have made to the IDE's colour scheme. Very occasionally VA is unable to properly apply its colours until you have done this. |
