I've got my new licence and installed the last beta build (1609). It installed with no problem. The menu item shows up. However, no parsing of the solution file occurs. In other words, even though VAX is enabled, it doesn't work.

Is this a known issue on VS 2008, the disclaimer says that 1609 is supposed to work on VS2008.

VS2008 RTM is supported by build 1619.

There does seem to be a problem, but until one of our developers has managed to download and install the release version of VS2008 I cannot say much more than that. It is currently being downloaded, but this takes a few hours.

Same here with actual release of Visual Studio 9.
Coloring seems to work and the VA menus are shown. But refactoring doesn't work and also the autocompletion and "snippet-completion" feature while typing doesn't work.

May be there was something changed from the Beta2 to the release?

I've sent mail via the forum member info.

I don't think so. I work at Microsoft. That's why I have internal access to RC for internal testing. That's said, there must be a way for external third parties to have access to RC so that their plug-ins gets tested out (under NDA). Are you guys signed in for any of such program?

Sounds like a COM object version number changed after beta 2. Is the RC you are using publicly available?

I'm using an RC version of Orcas (9.0.20928.1).I could be something that regressed VA since Beta2.

If I open file in workspace, nothing shows up and the window title says "Open File in Solution (Parsing...) But the parsing doesn't occur.

If I open a file inside IDE, the syntax highlighting and coloring from VA doesn't get applied. All the UI for VA seems to works, except refactoring...

One thing I've noticed thought. Parsing doesn't kick in when you open the solution. However, if I check out a file, parsing will start, and VA highlighting will display. However, when you open the "Open File in Solution" window, it's still displays (Parsing...) with nothing displayed.

That same solution use to work fine inside VS2005 with VA.

I have this working here in VS2008 beta 2.

If you open the OFIS dialog is anything listed?
If you open a code file does VA apply any of its enhanced syntax highlighting?

Are you using an express version, or a full version of VS2008?
