Posted - Oct 22 2007 : 4:30:09 PM Doing builds with 1609 enabled, causes memory footprint to grow by 5-10 MB per project. To witness the memory usage windup, Do a rebuild all and watch the memory column of task manager. Run it with VAX disabled and enabled doing the same operations and you will see that the memory footprint continues to grow when VAX is enabled but is more stable when it is disabled.

VA Options -> Performance -> Keep symbols in memory for fast response after Alt+Tab
turned on? This might be a factor in what you are seeing.
Are you ending up with a very large memory usage? Or is the memory usage just a "bit" higher?
Very occasionally we have reports of memory usage coming close to 2gig and then the IDE crashing, which is obviously a serious problem. Hopefully you are not seeing anything like that.
