Posted - Oct 30 2007 : 2:01:32 PM After upgrading from 1614 from 1559, I noticed my snippets weren't popping up , even though "Include VA snippets in listboxes" in Options > Advanced > Suggestions is selected. For instance, "#in" is a defined shortcut for a snippet. Type "#in", nothing happens. Press Ctrl-Space, a list of words completing "in" pops up, but selecting "include" just appends and we end up with #ininclude
I found that ticking the checkbox "Include suggestions in listboxes" allows the snippets back to life and gets rid of that second-rate completion list. That's probably fine with me, I don't know if or why I turned it off, but the "Include VA snippets" checkbox should reflect its dependency.
PS this is in C++ code on Visual C++ 2005 SP1

Posted - Nov 29 2007 : 11:01:22 AM Just to clarify: it's not the look & feel of "Include VA snippets in listboxes" that changed, but instead and much better: the dependency is gone. We can have snippets without "Include suggestions in listboxes".
