I see that there is an MS VS2005 update that fixes/changes various Intellisense issues: http://blogs.msdn.com/vcblog/archive/2007/11/12/performance-improvements-in-visual-c.aspx

does anyone know if it affects VAX adversely?

I don't want to install it and find out it breaks something

Hi James,

Good stuff. I'll install it then, thanks!

I've had it installed since Monday & have had no problems. It makes the VS intellisense much less intrusive and has almost eliminated the random hangs which used to happen so regularly!

After scan reading the blog post it sounds fine. Unless you have turned on "Get content from default Intellisense" VA ignores the information the IDE produces from its intellisense scanner.

If you want speed improvements you could always try this:
