Posted - Nov 30 2007 : 10:25:17 AM The two features of VAX I use the most, are the Find Symbol In Workspace and Open File In Workspace windows. So as I installed 1619 I immediately felt something wrong with FSIW. It opened a lot slower than 1561.
I tried installing 1561 to confirm my feeling, and FSIW opens in under a second. Back to 1619, FSIW opens in around 3 seconds, which is enough to annoy me somewhat. I have 157738 symbols (281162 when unchecking only symbols in solution checkbox), and 5546 files in my solution.
If possible could you check what changes you did between 1561 and 1619, and see if it is possible to reduce the opening speed?
As I said, this is a window I use many times a day, and it would be a great help if they could be sped up.
Furthermore, may I humbly suggest that you make some timing tests on the various functions so you can check it automatically before releasing to the public.
Thank you, Rasmus Sigsgaard

I've just installed 1623, and it is indeed as fast. Thank you very much.
