Posted - Dec 17 2007 : 08:15:12 AM I'm using VS2005 C# and ASP.NET VA Build 1619. After loading a solution there is a long delay where I notice it saying down in the status area that it is saving auto-covery information. The thing is I have the Enable Auto Recovery option unchecked in the configuration. |

Posted - Dec 18 2007 : 12:31:18 PM The message is not prefixed with VA or VAX so maybe it is the IDE. I have 357 files in that folder so I will delete and see if it makes a difference.
Thanks. |

It is possible the message is coming from the IDE, not from VA.
Some changes have been made internally to improve performance of VA's auto recovery files. For now can you check and see how many files you have in:
C:\\Documents and Settings\\ <USERNAME> \\Local Settings\\Application Data\\VisualAssist\\vs8\\history\ if you have more than a couple of hundred it might be worth deleting all of them to see if this helps. |
