Has anyone seen this error while working with VS 7.1
The following exception has occurred:

ExternalException: Internal error: GDI+ is not properly initialized.

I'm not sure if this is an issue with Visual Assist X or not. I only started to see it after I upgraded to 1626.

I did an uninstall last week and had a few days of no problems. Now it is showing up again. It was only happening when I had two instances of VS open and was comparing project properties. Now today it happens every time the docked Explorer window needs to refresh.

I'll start to try and test this a little more. First thing I'm going to try is rolling back one version.

Thanks feline, I didn't check that forum.

Reading over this made me realize something else.

I have been running TortoiseCVS 1.10.4 for over 6 months. No probs
I keep up to date with VAX. No probs.

But the week that this started to show up I got 9 updates from Microsoft the day before. I'm going to see if my log reveals something.

I'll get back/

I certainly do not recognise this as a VA error message, and I am not seeing any references in our bug tracking system.

A quick search got me to this thread:

http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2851731&SiteID=1

which contains the quote:

quote:

If found what was causing this bug in my case: Turtoise CVS 1.10.1 ( - 1.10.4).

Once Turtoise is uninstalled, the OpenFileDialog works as normal. Older versions of Turtoise, 1.8.x work fine.

Does this sound like it might help?
