Hello,

I accidently added a file to my VC 6.0 project. The problem is that VA X parsed it and stored the parsing results somewhere. Now, whenever I use 'goto definition' function, VA X will also give me the option to go to the delete file.

How to clean the parsing cache completely?

Thank you
-Daniel

When you restarted the IDE did you see a lot of messages on the IDE status bar about VA parsing files?
rhummer's suggestion is correct, this should do exactly what you wanted.

How exactly are you triggering the "goto definition" function? I am wondering if you are triggering the VC6 command. If so then VC6 is confused, and rebuilding VA's symbol database is not going to help.

Hello rhummer,

This method doesn't work for me. VA X still remembers the parsed deleted file.

Thank you

Go to the VA X Options -> Performance and click on the Rebuild button. You will have to restart the IDE for the cache to be cleared.
