How easily can this problem be reproduced? Can anyone send me a single code file, as a zip file, that shows the problem? So far I have been unable to reproduce the problem myself.

I have the files, thank you for these. Unfortunately the Unicode characters do not show correctly on my test system. I have tried several different programs, but none of them show the text correctly.
Can you please copy the problem text into your reply instead? Hopefully I will be able to copy and paste the text into the IDE, if it is displayed correctly.

I imagine this is related to the system internationalisation settings. I sometimes run set to GB2312 and it'll corrupt plain text in dumb editors (like VC6). The setting is here:
and you'll need to install the extra fonts in the previous tab.
