STDMETHOD(get_Item)(VARIANT vName, CSomeOldClass pVal); }; I want to use the refactoring feature to change the signature. From CSomeOldClass to CSomeClass. The result in the CPP file is wrong: STDMETHOD( CAGComUsers::get_Item(VARIANT vName, CSomeClass pVal) Look at the return value! Should be: STDMETHODIMP CAGComUsers::get_Item(VARIANT vName, CSomeClass** pVal)
