It looks like if you're running multiple instances of Visual Studio, the OFIW dialog will only show currently open files for anything but the first VS instance. This is VA 1645 and VS 2005.

So...

Launch VS
Open solution
OFIW dialog contains all solution files

Launch second instance of VS
Open another solution
OFIW dialog contains only files currently open in the editor. Closing files removes them from the OFIW list. If no files are open, the list is empty.

Logs have been sent. I sent three sets of logs - the first set had logging enabled for both instances of VS, the second set had logging only enabled for the second (broken) instance of VS, and the third set had logging enabled via the options dialog of the second instance of VS before the solution was opened (yes, I kept missing parts of your message ;)).

The projects have ~21 and ~33 projects respectively.

hmm - that wasn't what I was expecting...

Just to make it explicit, the problem you originally reported is not expected behavior and I'm not able to reproduce it.

How many projects do you have in your two solutions?

Please enable logging as instructed here while reproducing the problem in the second instance:
http://docs.wholetomato.com?W305

Do not enable logging in the first instance. Just the second. Also, use the options dialog to enable logging and do so before you load the solution.

When you use the contact form to submit the logs, please reference topic_id=8016

Yes it does (this topic should've stated Open File in Solution btw, not Workspace... I guess it got changed from OFIW to OFIS at some point without me noticing :) ).

If you open the second solution in the first instance, does the OFIW work properly?
