Posted - Sep 22 2008 : 10:26:57 AM Duplicate files when you are running more than one IDE at the same time have been known to confuse VA. We have made various changes and fixes for this since VA 1535. If you install our latest version 1649 hopefully you will not see this problem any more. VA now stores a separate symbol database for each IDE process to avoid these types of problems:

Uh ... A strange thing,, I have some sized solution using the same project, For example , A and B contains same two a.h, When I opened the A, VA Parsing a.h in the B solution?? it's normal? Then, just as you see ,virtual memory 1.7G,
so I del the a.h , or reinstall VA, normal again
it's happened,usually in 2-3 months later,,,

Posted - Sep 18 2008 : 09:22:03 AM How are you measuring virtual memory?
I am not bothered by 200meg of normal memory usage, this is a fairly standard number if the IDE has been open for a while and is using a reasonable sized solution.
Are you seeing any problems with VA or the IDE? |
