With VAX loaded every time I attempt to start debugging a C# project I'm getting a DEP error (i.e. Vista kills the app with a DEP message).

Can someone confirm VAX is working for them on Vista SP1, VS2008 Professional Version SP1 with DEP enabled for all applications?

(Looks like I cannot turn it selectively off for VS2008, perhaps because it is compiled with it on.)

If I disable VAX (not unload it; just use the menu) then I no longer have the DEP issue.

Glad to hear that it no longer occurs. Thanks for digging into it.

Good news - after some googling, it looks like I've come up against a variant of this bug:

The fix is to choose "Reset Window Layout" without any solution open, then close and reopen visual studio.
