I have started encountering periodic hangs while compiling. Now, granted, my solution is extreme (ie, 100 projects of mixed C# and database projects). This is something new with 1709, I reverted back to the previous version and have not had a hang since.
The manifestation of the problem is that the build progress bar stops (actually, it is not visible after the hang), and VS2008 is locked up tight, the only way out is to kill the process. |
