Posted - Jan 09 2009 : 10:18:29 AM This bug has been present for a long time, but only today I realized how to reproduce it.
- turn on the option to display an indicator after column x, I set x to 80. - open any cpp file in a window wider then 80 columns, so you can see the line. - find or type a line longer than the width of the editor (preferably a good bit, about 50% is ideal to show the bug off I think), so you need to scroll to the right to go to the end of it. - position the cursor on the end of the long line - hit enter
You will see the indicator line has been moved to the left a lot, I guess by about as much as the line was longer than the screen? (Or something to do with the indentation level perhaps?)
The indicator only resets to the correct position after you scroll the editor window to the right a little (both by using the scrollbar or through cursor movement).

Thanks for letting me know about how to "reset" the indicator back to 80 column-widths. This will work until the dev. team fixes case 53, at least :) |
