So, I got an email saying 1714 was available, but wierdly there's no reference to it here now. Did something go wrong? :)

SvenC,

Under some circumstances, Visual Studio could hang while attempting to add VA Snippets for JavaScript or VBScript to a suggestion list inside a <script> block in an ASP file. I have been unable to reproduce the hang. I assume that if you do not work with ASP and script blocks in this manner, you will not be affected.

Hi feline,

could you elaborate on the "serious bug"? I installed 1714. Should I revert to 1711? What is the risk to stay with 1714?

At least it's not just us who does that :)

We discovered a serious bug just after posting the announcement. So we have pulled this build and will post a new build when the bug has been fixed.

So yes, something went wrong
