I've pointed out a similar (same?) issue before.
VAX 1649, VS 2008 SP1.
BOOL CMyClass::Free( BOOL bRunAdaptation )
BOOL CMyClass::RunAdaptation()
Alt+M, runad --> "Free" is selected. This is WRONG. |

An alternative answer is to turn off showing parameters in the alt-m list:

I'm missing the connection between what you have stated and the claim that sorting is not working.
Are you unhappy that Free appears in the list at all or that it appears sorted before RunAdaptation?
