I've tried this using Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 using VA build 1721. To repeat - Highlight a section of code, then hit '*'. This should then surround the highlighted code with a c++ style comment block. Now do an undo, which removes the comments, and your original text is highlighted. Now hit the '*' again, and instead of surrounding the code with comment blocks, it replaces the selected code with a '*' character. The same thing happens with '('. [/quote]

I am seeing the same effect here. Thank you for the clear description.

Another undo should get the code back, and pressing '*' again will hopefully work.
