Hello,
it seems it's only problem in MSVC 2k8. When I changed "VA X Find Result" color, it's not used for all find results (even if I restarted MSVC).

I didn't know we did highlighting in the output window...
Any chance that you have another addin installed that might be doing find result highlighting also?

I have only one user account (admin rights).
I've tried to reinstall VA X 1724, delete "Cache" key, but still the same.
After reinstallation, I ran MSVC 2k8, changed "VA X Find Result" color to cyan, but Output window still shows me highlight results in default yellow. Even if I press ESC in Output window and find "event" string again (by pressing F3 key).

Do you have more than one user account on your machine? If so did you install VA with the current user account, or a different account?
Can you try this test please, to try and fix this:
Exit VS2008
Delete this registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\VisualStudio\\9.0\\FontAndColors\\Cache\Restart the IDE
