Posted - Jul 09 2009 : 03:31:36 AM Just installed 10.5.1727.0 on a new system (XP SP3, VS 2008 SP1). After changing colors in VA options window and pressing "OK" button, I got an dialog: --------------------------- Visual Assist X --------------------------- Visual Studio has not completed initializing some Visual Assist X features.
Color changes made in the Visual Assist X Options dialog may not take effect until you restart Visual Studio to complete initialization. --------------------------- OK ---------------------------
It shouldn't cause any issue since the dialog says restarting VS will complete initialization. But I've never seen this before (same OS, same VS, old version of VA). Is this by design?
Thanks! |

Posted - Jul 09 2009 : 09:17:08 AM I have never seen this message myself but I believe it is by design. We have had some problems reliably adding our entries to the list of items in the IDE's Fonts and Colours options. There should be items in there for the current line colour, matching brackets, etc.
I think this is part of our double checking that the IDE has been correctly updated to add these items to the list. |
