Hi,
I recently did an upgrade to the latest version, from an older version.
VA proposed me to upgraded to the latest snippet and I said Yes.
If I remember correctly he told me the previous one will be backup somewhere.

Now, I have lost my custom Snippet and I didn't remember where is the backup location. A 'grep' on various folder didn't do anything.

Is there really a backup location and where is it ?

Thanks

Arno

Yes, the path is different on different OS's. That is the path I would expect on Vista. I am glad you found the files

many thanks !!!!

For the record, as I'm under windows 2008 + domain, I found it under:
C:\\Users\\USERNAME\\AppData\\Roaming\\VisualAssist\\Autotext\\Saved

If you are using winXP as your OS have a look in the directory:

C:\\Documents and Settings\\ USERNAME \\Application Data\\VisualAssist\\Autotext\\Saved\
VA should have backed up the old snippet (.tpl) files to here.
