Posted - Aug 24 2009 : 05:07:58 AM Hi,
I've installed release 1731. Now I get from Avira some virus warning: HTML/Sily.Gen in C:\\Users\\MyUser\\AppData\\Local\\VisualAssist\\vs9_1\\cpp\\VA_M.tmp
1) I've changed back to release 1727 -> same warning! 2) Cleaning AppData/Local/VisualAssist -> same warning
What's wrong???
bye, Holger. |

Posted - Aug 24 2009 : 1:22:43 PM We reported this false positive to Avira on July 29. Until they address the issue, you'll see the warning whenever you rebuild your symbol database. Choose ignore to allow things to proceed normally. |

Posted - Aug 24 2009 : 11:35:23 AM This file is part of VA's symbol database. If you close all instances of the IDE you can simply delete the directory:
C:\\Users\\MyUser\\AppData\\Local\\VisualAssist\\vs9_1\ and all of its children. VA will recreate this directory when you next load the IDE. This will wipe out any old files. This is probably a false positive from your anti-virus program, I am not seeing any anti-virus warning from AVG. |
