Just installed 1731 and quickly rolled back to 1727. The VA toolbar was missing after installation and the editor window was messy. There were white-background space characters everywhere while I am using black background.

IDE: Visual C++ 2003 SP1, just VA installed no other plugins
System: XP SP3

Michal,

There is a problem in beta 1731 in which the VA menu and toolbar are missing on a new install in VS2003 only. When you upgraded from 1727 to 1731, were you presented with a choice to update menus and toolbars? If so, do you remember whether you answered "Yes" to perform the update? In my tests, answering "No" will preserve the toolbar and menus in 1731. Sorry for the hassle, we are looking into this issue for our next beta release.
