Is it possible to point VA Snippets to an external location (network directory). I'd like to get multiple users pointing to the same place to be used like a common code snippet repository for all of us.

Is this possible?

Thanks...I've been looking in to this all morning, and it seems that won't work. Junction points (symbolic links for directories) are only supported locally only (e.g. can't link to a network shared directory). :(

Oh well....thanks any way.

There is no built in feature of VA to do this yet, but we are considering having 2 VA Snippet files, a global and a local one, and then merge them together in memory:

For now you should be able to setup shared snippets by just replacing the local VA Snippet folder with a symbolic link or junction point, so the OS silently redirects VA to this shared location. Exactly how you do this will depend on the OS you are using.
