I have tried adding a .thl file to my solution in VC6, but so far I cannot reproduce this problem.

Can you try editing your registry to tell VA that .thl files are C++ code files, so that VA becomes active in these files. Does this fix the problem?

Can you try downloading the latest version of VA please. This problem with the tooltip changing / scrolling when you click with the mouse was (I believe) fixed in VA 1810.

Can you reproduce it if you don't load Visual Assist? You can do it via the addin manager in VC6:

http://docs.wholetomato.com?W306

so you don't have to uninstall it. I'm wondering whether it is caused by Visual Assist.

It would be nice to try it again when it's happening with disabled VA:

VAssistX -> Enable/Disable Visual Assist X

I've seen similar problems in VC9. Not sure if it's VAX or VC9. It seems to happen when some source control message box is shown during selection...

*ah* It is gif animation Firefox did not played it for me before, but today when I opened the thread it started to play the animation. After that I wasn't able to replay it... It works both with IE and Opera.

I tried to reproduce the problem using VC6 SP6 and VA 1738 but everything is working fine here.
Which version of VA are you using?
Is service pack 6 installed for VC6?
Which operation system are you using?
Would it happen without VA installed?
A step-by-step description might help reproducing the strange selection here. I don't know what exactly are you doing in the video.

Do you mean a bug in VC6 or in Visual Assist?
Can you please describe the problem?
