VAX 1649 (and I think I've seen this in the later releases too)
VS 2008 SP1

1) Put a huge cpp file in your solution.
2) Fire up the OFIW dialog, open the file, and immediately hit Ctrl+F and start typing...

The find dialog gains focus, but then the code window steals it - causing unwanted editing of the cpp file. Using source control, this soon becomes incredibly annoying.

Note that the above behavior cannot be reproduced without the OFIW dialog.

This is still in our list of things to fix, but we would need to fix this without introducing other focus bugs in the process. So we need to be a little careful here.

I am seeing the same effect here. Thank you for the clear description.

case=9279

So far I am unable to reproduce the problem when using CTRL-I instead of CTRL-F, so you might find this a helpful work around for now.
